Pink Ring

There is no sweeter moment than a friend ringing your doorbell. Especially when they come bearing a surprise, homemade treat, favorite coffee, or thoughtful gift. There is something old fashioned about someone stopping by and that was my joyful moment today.

Even though the pandemic kept us from a usual hug, it was a wonderful surprise to see this cherished friend and catch up through the window. Her visit was prompted by thoughtfulness, which is what makes her so special in general. She was hand delivering the piece of jewelry I recently ordered from her new line - which took great restraint to not order the matching earrings and necklace, or get those in different colors.

And now I have a new magenta ring that sparkles in the sunshine and reminds me of my friend. It's also a very happy color, by the way. Let's call today TWO joyful moments!!
